2. Information processed
- Account information: name, email, password hash, verification status, account permissions and membership status.
- Billing information: Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, payment and renewal status, paid access dates and related support correspondence. Payment details are entered through Stripe; our membership integration uses payment references rather than storing your full card number.
- Content and activity: tool ideas you submit, saved drafts, uploaded content and profiles where you use those features, favourites, recently used tools and download activity.
- Technical and security information: session identifiers, IP addresses and request information used for security and rate limiting. Features such as tracked QR codes and public profiles may record visits, timestamps, browser/device information, referrers, approximate location where available and hashed visitor identifiers.
3. Why we use it
We use data to provide your account, verify your email, deliver requested features, administer subscriptions, answer support requests and review submitted tool ideas. Processing needed to provide the service relies on performance of our contract with you. Security, fraud prevention and service administration rely on legitimate interests, balanced against your rights. We also process records where necessary to comply with legal obligations. Where consent is required for optional processing, it must be obtained and you may withdraw it.
4. Cookies and browser storage
The website uses session cookies to keep you signed in and protect forms. Tools may also use browser storage for their operation and local working state. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent login and account features from working. Non-essential tracking, if introduced, requires appropriate information and consent where applicable; this notice itself is not consent.
5. Who receives information
Authorised administrators can access information needed to manage accounts and support the service, including submitted tool ideas. Hosting and email are provided through Hostinger, and payment processing through Stripe. These providers process relevant data to perform their services. We may disclose data where legally required or necessary to establish or defend legal claims.
Content you choose to publish through a public profile or share through a public link can be seen by people with access to it. Avoid publishing private information you do not intend to share. For provider practices, see Stripe's privacy notice and Hostinger's privacy notice.
6. International processing
Our providers may process data in countries outside the United Kingdom. Where restricted international transfers occur, appropriate safeguards or another lawful transfer mechanism must apply, such as adequacy arrangements or approved contractual protections. Contact us for information about safeguards relevant to your data.
7. Retention and deletion
Account and membership records are retained while needed to provide the service and deal with legal, accounting, security or dispute requirements. Retention depends on the type of record, applicable legal duties and whether a dispute is ongoing. Verification and reset tokens expire; saved drafts may have their own expiry. Contact us to request account or content deletion.
Deleting a tool idea removes its record from the active application database. Historical hosting backups may retain older copies until their normal retention cycle ends. Deletion requests do not require us to remove records we must lawfully retain. We do not promise immediate deletion from every backup.
8. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability or object to processing. You may withdraw consent for processing based on consent. We may need to verify your identity before responding. These rights are subject to legal conditions and exceptions.
Contact us through our contact form. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office, or your local data protection authority where applicable.
9. Updates
We will update this notice when our processing changes and provide additional notice where required.
