Hexagon Photo Splitter helps you prepare personalised photo panels, mosaics and decorative displays in your browser. Spread one image across the whole layout or assign different photos to individual pieces. Choose a ready-made honeycomb arrangement, build a custom hexagon layout, or create a heart or oval board. Adjust your artwork in the live preview, then prepare the print and cut files for your production workflow.

What this tool does
Use one photo across the complete design or assign individual photos to separate pieces.
Choose compact honeycomb, wide board and decorative presets, with point-up or flat-top hexagon orientation.
Build a custom layout by adding, duplicating, moving and removing hexagons, with optional snapping.
Create a heart with a gently rounded bottom or an oval in wide, balanced or tall proportions. Set the overall height and the number of pieces.
Heart and oval layouts use symmetrical, contour-fitted cells to fill the outline without tiny edge fragments. These cells are not all regular hexagons.
Adjust photo zoom, rotation, horizontal and vertical position, and mirroring. Individual photos also offer cover, contain and stretch fitting.
Set hexagon size for hexagon layouts, sheet dimensions, spacing and output resolution at 150, 300 or 600 DPI.
Prepare print sheets and matching vector cut outlines, with optional piece numbers and a print-cut overlay for checking alignment.
Apply horizontal and vertical cut-position corrections and use test-piece or calibration downloads to check your setup.
Save a project as JSON and load it again to continue working on the design.

Start by choosing a layout, then upload your main photo or photos for individual pieces. Check the composition, physical dimensions and sheet settings before exporting.
Uploaded photos and unsaved work remain in the current browser tab. Save a project JSON before refreshing or closing the page if you want to restore your work later.
The final sheet count is calculated during export from the actual piece shapes, bleed and spacing. Check the exported sheets before preparing your material.
Use the overlay and a test piece to check print scale, alignment and cut-position corrections with your own printer, material and laser software.
